Usman dominated him that whole fight but yes was an amazing knockout
it was such a perfect setup that is why usman says nothing
@Abel now that I look back, Usman would’ve won by decision but he didn’t truly dominate Leon tbh. Leon also won many stand up exchanges. Leon messed up shooting for takedowns at bad times which gave Usman points

Based Leon Edwards. One of the most underrated fighters on the roster. Signed to fight everyone. Burns when Masvidal ducked him for years. Masvidal who sucker punched Leon and fled the country from Edwards. Khamzat when no one would fight him until Burns. Was piecing Belal up until an accidental eye poke after so long out of the Octagon as it was. What a legend. I believe he deserved a title shot, that was 9 fights in a row.
Was wounded when belal bi**hed out cus he knew leon was dominating and took the easy way out, true fighters keep fighting there's no quitting in a real fight.

@Matt Belal clearly was injured and could not see with his eye, he’s on a 4 fight win streak after that Leon fight fake fighters don’t come back and fight real ones do, y’all love to hate on Belal but he dominated luque and completely outclassed wonderboy on the ground.

I'm quite new MMA fan, my first event that I ever watched was UFC 264. I've watched most of the fights/events ever since, and Leon winning the belt is absolutely the greatest moment in the sport that I have personally witnessed. The kick, the speech afterwards and his story give me goosebumps when I think of it. Leon has become my favourite fighter, it was so cool to see him winning the trilogy last weekend. Seems such a cool dude, I hope he keeps the belt for a long time... Look at him now!!!
It was one of the purest moments in MMA history. Everything happened when it needed to!

Definitely respect and appreciate Leon Edward’s and his work in the UFC. His win was deserving. I don’t think he is a better fighter than Kamaru but they are both elite fighters… for me Kamaru has the edge because he defended his belt many times against different styles so we will now see what Leon can do. Kudos to Leon!

I think Leon will dominate this time around. Complacency is the sign of a champion at his downfall and that is what Usman showed before he lost to Leon. I know the circumstances are different, but I imagine this would be like the Aljo vs Yan 2nd fight where Aljo just improved all around and left Yan in the dust. This is what Leon will do to Kamaru.

I really hope he does, but I doubt it. Usman can go back to his style that he went away from just to earn more money/be more entertaining. People have forgotten his old dominant grappling and wrestling game, he used to get booed for it but in desperate times he will go back to it. Hopefully Leon can counter it and win though.

Yeah, except Usman was utterly winning that fight until the kick. Props to Leon, and he deserves his moment, however if Usman goes out and does what he did in the first fight, and is wary of that kick, it's done. I'm hoping Leon learned a lot from the fight and has a better game plan. Because I don't think he's gonna find that kick again.

To think the night Till fought Masvidal, Leon fought Gunnar Nelson, you could already see he was on the way to being a more well rounded, committed & professional as well as talented athlete. I thought then he had a better chance of being UFC champion before Till. Tills decline & Leon's trajectory has been amazing to watch.

Leon lived up to his name Rocky 🔥 after being denied title shots for refusing to trash talk.. Disrespected by the ufc.. Finally getting the shot he earned .. Was losing the fight 1-3 rounds... And ended up knocking out the pound for pound in the final round ❤ straight outta a movie.. Now lets get that trilogy win Rocky lets go

Lets be real, Leon was not the better fighter, and I love Leon, but even though he won the fight, Usman was dominating him almost the whole fight. Matt Serra knocked out GSP, doesnt make him the better fighter. We all saw what happened next fight. I am rooting for Leon and I hope he can put a whole fight together, he is very talented.
in my HUMBLE opinion. I think getting Covid-19 may have been the greatest thing to happen to Leon in his career. I'm not saying Khamzat rolls through Leon, but it is definitely possible. And i doubt Leon ever gets back up to a title shot after taking a loss like that. Just something interesting to think about is all. Im high, dont take this too seriously.

The Masvidol fight would happen if Leon defends against Usman and calls out Jorge simply because it would sell tickets and an easy win for Rocky. I’d take that defense before having to deal with Colby or Khamzat.

Really like Leon as a fighter definitely deserves to be where he is at the moment, but it does seem like he’s getting abit ahead of himself now I’m sure he’s got his team keeping him grounded but kamaru is undoubtedly the better more stronger fighter, as perfectly timed and executed that kick was everyone knows he was losing until that beautiful fainted head kick landed, I personally see kamaru re gaining the belt but I’d love nothing more than to see Leon shut up all the nay sayers once again, come on rockyyyy🦵🏽💪🏽
